Michael and the rest of the band were awesome! They were incredibly easy to get in touch with and knew what they were doing. They played the majority of our cocktail hour, reception, and emceed and everything was perfect! Couldn’t have been happier with them!

I can’t begin to say enough about Permanent Vacation! They played at my sister’s wedding 3 years ago and everyone had so much fun that we had to have them back! The energy they bring in just amazing! From the first song to the last, they had the dance floor packed. They learned 3 songs for us for our reception and they were just perfect! The way they interact with the crowd and keep the party going is unreal. I don’t think they took a break for longer than a few minutes or at least it seemed that way. Permanent Vacation is one of my favorite wedding bands ever. Not only did they do an excellent job at my wedding, but I have been to several other weddings where they performed. They keep the crowd entertained and dancing. People of all ages were on the dance floor and loving the band. My now husband’s grandmother said that she could have stayed a few more hours because of the band, and it was 11 pm when she left! The list of songs that they send you is unbelievable and now husband and I had to narrow down our selections because we picked over 100 songs that we would like them to play. I had several people ask me about how I found them or how they could book them after the wedding. The group is fantastic and was so easy to work with. I never had a doubt about their willingness to accommodate me or help make my day as wonderful as possible. With a million other vendors and people that I was juggling, it was nice to know that the band would take care of themselves and put on an amazing show! I highly recommend Permanent Vacation!

My husband and I LOVED THESE GUYS for our wedding, and so did everyone else! I surveyed a huge network of people asking about what wedding bands they’d seen and heard of, how they were, etc. Over and over and over again I kept hearing “Permanent Vacation”…at the rate at which they were being recommended as nonstop fun, keeps everyone on their feet but classy enough for your flower girl and your grandma to jam to, I was sure they were going to be about twice the price. I was so pleased with the price that as soon as I got one of them on the phone, I booked them. They took my exact requests, made some recommendations that totally improved the set list, and were always kind and patient through countless neurotic emails and phonecalls from me. (Oops?) The loaded a rare song recording that I wanted to dance with my dad to and arranged to play me and my husband’s “first dance” live. And these guys can go for hours. They play lots of weddings but also events around town, that’s when you know they’re really fun. Their live recordings on their website don’t do them justice. People are still commenting on how great the music was–it was the best thing about our wedding and totally set the mood for a fun and laid-back night. They also can swap from tender, more serious moments and back in a flash, to always keep the mood right. Pick these guys I swear…you won’t regret it.

You had a roomful of mostly older adults (but very youthful) rocking out till 11:30pm! The set lists, the vocals, the sax, guitars, keyboard…you were all excellent! I danced so much that I didn’t stop to eat the delicious shrimp and other items that the servers were passing. I loved it when you played Cool Me Out by Lamont Dozier. I cannot thank the band members of Permanent Vacation enough for the best wedding music ever! From the moment the music started til the very end of our magical wedding night, our guests were rockin’ the dance floor…including myself (and I am not a dancer!). Saturday night was an absolute blast – thank you so much for helping us throw such a great party! We had a fantastic time dancing the night away with you all, especially during Sweet Caroline. Thank you thank you thank you for creating the PERFECT reception atmosphere for us. You have no idea how many people have commented on “the band” and how you guys made it the most fun wedding reception they’ve been to. I would say more than 20 people have said close to those exact words. We had so much fun and I can’t imagine anything making it any better. Thomas and I never expected to leave our wedding dripping sweat from showing off all of our amazing dance moved, but you guys made that possible for us! We had an absolute blast and have nothing but wonderful things to say for y’all! During the planning process I was floored by how quickly and efficiently my questions were answered and how personable and easy to work with you all were. Being a wee bit type A, this was a dream come true in wedding planning for me. After the wedding we had so many friends compliment the band and say what a great party it was. Thank you for being a part of our wedding. The reception went so well, and obviously you can take a large amount of credit for that. We have been told by so many people that they just had the time of their lives, and it is always followed up with how great the band was. People are truly still talking about it. In fact, we just got home from NY Sunday night from visiting some family that was at the wedding, and they all said on separate occasions how much fun they had dancing to great music. The flow of things couldn’t have been any better!! I remember looking around at some point during the night and thinking, “Is there anyone here that isn’t out dancing?!?!” Thank goodness we had that long room or there wouldn’t have been enough room for everyone to shake it!! I watched people dance that I have been to several different weddings with and have never seen them step on the dance floor. It really was crazy, and to top it off, Chris and I had the time of our lives with y’all!
Really, Chris, my parents, and I could not have asked for it to go better. We played around with the idea of having a DJ at some point early in the wedding planning, and boy we are glad we made the choice we did. We were so happy with Permanent Vacation…absolutely perfect! Also, thanks for all the help in planning. I was asking for a lot of help right there at the end, and I appreciate your patience and input.
